Deraya Teaching Hospital

The Deraya University Hospital is a 201-bed, state-of-the-art facility located on a 7,950 square meter footprint. The built-up area of the hospital is 34,600 square meters, and it consists of four floors: a basement, ground floor, first floor, and second floor. The basement level of the hospital houses a parking garage, as well as all of the hospital's general services, including the kitchen, laundry, CSSD (central sterile supply department), workshops, storage rooms, garbage collection rooms, staff facilities, and morgue. The ground floor of the hospital features a grand entrance with a triple-height atrium that includes a waiting area and cafeteria. The ground floor also houses the outpatient clinic, retail pharmacy, emergency department, laboratory, radiology, and the hospital's general administration offices. The first floor of the hospital includes the cardiac catheterization lab, dialysis department, and inpatient and ICU wards. The second floor of the hospital houses the delivery department, operating department (which includes six operating rooms), inpatient and ICU wards, radiology, and the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit). The third floor of the hospital includes additional inpatient and ICU wards, as well as staff residences. The exterior of the hospital is modern and features marble and aluminum cladding. The hospital is also environmentally designed to reduce solar gain through the use of carefully-sized openings and the use of sub-breakers. The Deraya University Hospital is a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art facility that provides a wide range of medical services to patients of all ages.
